Our award winning giant barbecue/ smoker is up and cooking! Our rotisserie barbecue, like the restaurant and bar, was custom built by the owner of The Tacke Box, Richard Peeples. Since it was built, we have been winning awards right and left. Including: ‘Best Booth Display’ this year at the 2012 Taste of Chico, and 1st Place & People’s Choice at the Bambi Inn Rib Cook-off as well as…People’s Choice AND 1st place at the Bambi Inn’s 5th Annual Rib Cookoff in Butte Meadows.


We specialize in BBQ! Serving up everything including: Prime Rib, Tri-Tip, Pulled Pork, Brisket, Turkey Legs, Baby-Back Rib Racks, and just about anything else you can imagine. Call on Fridays to find out what the weekend’s specials are.

Any given weekend we announce on our Facebook page what specificially we have been smoking in the barbecue that day. Always fresh, never frozen, no one does barbecue better than The Tackle Box.


We recently installed a wood fire pizza oven, making us now a pizza place too! The kitchen remodel made ordering easier and you can call in your wood fired pizza or grill orders too any day of the week at (530) 345-7499.


We can still reserve tables, serve, and host your larger parties!

  • If your party plans on eating, we ask that you give us some sort of idea in advance of what we can expect will be requested to eat most.

We offer on-site catering for your special events or fundraisers!

  • Must have at least 25 people in your party for us to cater off-site events.
  • We can cater a party of any size if you do not wish for us to bring our BBQ.
    If you want us to bring the barbecue, and cook on site, 100 person minimum.
  • You can also rent our 28 foot rotisserie for a flat fee of $400.
